Abstract
Criteria for evaluating structural equation models with latent variables are defined, critiqued, and illustrated. An overall program for model evaluation is proposed based upon an interpretation of converging and diverging evidence. Model assessment is considered to be a complex process mixing statistical criteria with philosophical, historical, and theoretical elements. Inevitably the process entails some attempt at a reconcilation between so-called objective and subjective norms.

eTailQ: dimensionalizing, measuring and predicting etail quality

TL;DR: In this article, the authors established the dimensions of the etail experience, and developed a reliable and valid scale for the measurement of etail quality based on online and offline focus groups, a sorting task, and an online survey of a customer panel.

Innovativeness: Its antecedents and impact on business performance

TL;DR: In this article, the authors address three research questions: (1) Why are some industrial firms more innovative than others? (2) What effect does innovativeness have on business performance? (3) Does the linkage between innovativity and business performance depend on the environmental context?

Information privacy: measuring individuals' concerns about organizational practices

TL;DR: An instrument that identifies and measures the primary dimensions of individuals' concers about organizational information privacy practices, and was rigorously tested and validated across several heterogenous populations, providing a high degree of confidence in the scales' validity, reliability, and generalizability.

Ambiguity and the process of knowledge transfer in strategic alliances

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the role played by the "causally ambiguous" nature of knowledge in the process of knowledge transfer between strategic alliance partners and found that knowledge ambiguity is a mediator of tacitness, prior experience, complexity, cultural distance, and organizational distance.

Applications of structural equation modeling in marketing and consumer research: A review

TL;DR: Prior applications of structural equation modeling in four major marketing journals between 1977 and 1994 are reviewed and problem areas are identified and avenues for improvement are suggested.

Evaluating Structural Equation Models with Unobservable Variables and Measurement Error

TL;DR: In this paper, the statistical tests used in the analysis of structural equation models with unobservable variables and measurement error are examined, and a drawback of the commonly applied chi square test, in additit...

A new look at the statistical model identification

TL;DR: In this article, a new estimate minimum information theoretical criterion estimate (MAICE) is introduced for the purpose of statistical identification, which is free from the ambiguities inherent in the application of conventional hypothesis testing procedure.

Estimating the Dimension of a Model

TL;DR: In this paper, the problem of selecting one of a number of models of different dimensions is treated by finding its Bayes solution, and evaluating the leading terms of its asymptotic expansion.

Significance tests and goodness of fit in the analysis of covariance structures

TL;DR: In this article, a general null model based on modified independence among variables is proposed to provide an additional reference point for the statistical and scientific evaluation of covariance structure models, and the importance of supplementing statistical evaluation with incremental fit indices associated with the comparison of hierarchical models.
