TLDR
In this article, microalgae is used as a sustainable treatment system by integrating the wastewater treatment with bioenergy recovery, transforming this technology to real-time, but it is difficult to implement in practice.
Abstract
Phycoremediation encompasses microalgae as a sustainable treatment system by integrating the wastewater treatment with bioenergy recovery. However, transforming this technology to real time...

Outdoor cultivation of Chlorella pyrenoidosa in paddy-soaked wastewater and a feasibility study on biodiesel production from wet algal biomass through in-situ transesterification

TL;DR: In this article, the selected microalgae (Chlorella pyrenoidosa) was cultured in paddy-soaked wastewater (PWW) using outdoor raceway ponds of 50 L capacity where biotransformation of nutrients (NH3−N removal: 75.89±−0.69); PO4−P removal: 73.71±− 0.75%; yield co-efficient YN: 6.56−±-0.

Pre-dissolved Inorganic Carbon (DIC) for cultivation Chlorella sorokiniana MH923013, Coelastrella MH923011 and Coelastrella MH923012

TL;DR: The results demonstrate the potential of CO2 and HCO3 −1 in control the CCM pathways, thus, another step in the development of the photobioreactor design.

Treatment of fish processing wastewater with microalgae-containing microbiota.

TL;DR: Two photobioreactors inoculated with microalgae from a lagoon containing aerobically treated swine slurry and with sludge from a membrane submerged bioreactor treating winery wastewater were established and suggested that fish processing wastewater could be effectively treated using this technology.

Soaking Induced Changes in Chemical Composition, Glycemic Index and Starch Characteristics of Basmati Rice

TL;DR: In this article, the qualitative changes in basmati rice (Pusa Basmati 1121, PB1121) during soaking at 40°C to 80°C were determined.

Optimization of biomass production and nutrients removal by Spirulina platensis from municipal wastewater.

TL;DR: Mixotrophic cultivations enhanced the microalgal production, nutrients removal and recovery, and mitigated nutrients limitation, and the addition of 300 mg/L glucose in mixotrophic cultivation, as a low-cost alternative, was found to be a suitable medium for effective enhancement of microalgae growth, nutrients Removal and recovery.

Presence of amylose crystallites in parboiled rice.

TL;DR: Mild acid hydrolysis destroyed the acid labile retrograded amylopectin crystallites and increased the relative abundance of amylose crystallites, and acid-hydrolyzed intermediately and severely parboiled samples of both cultivars showed a clear B-type diffraction pattern conclusively showing, for the first time, the presence of amelose crystallite.
