Computer Program Abstracts The category Computer Program Abstracts provides a rapid means of communicating up-to-date information concerning both new programs or systems and significant updates to existing ones. Following normal submission, a Computer Program Abstract will be reviewed by one or two members of the IUCr Commission on Crystallographic Computing. It should not exceed 500 words in length and should follow the standard format given on page 189 of the June 1985 issue of the Journal [J. Appl. CrysL (1985). 18, 189190] and on the World Wide Web at http://www.iucr. ac. uk/journals/jac/software/. One Ferromagnetic and Two Antiferromagnetic Dinuclear Nickel(II) Complexes Derived from a Tridentate N,N,O‐Donor Schiff Base Ligand: A Density Functional Study of Magnetic Coupling
TL;DR: In this article, three dinuclear NiII complexes were synthesized by using a tridentate Schiff base ligand, 2-({[3-(dimethylamino)propyl]imino}methyl)phenol (HL), along with a nitrate, nitrite, or acetate ion, respectively, as co-ligands.
Journal ArticleDOI
Crystal structure and magnetic properties of [Fe{N(CN)2}2(MeOH)2] a 2-D layered network consisting of hydrogen-bonded 1-D chains
TL;DR: In this paper, a 2-dimensional stair-like network structure was synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography, vibrational, and magnetic susceptibility, and the magnetic susceptibility was interpreted according to an S=2 expression which includes the Weiss constant and zero-field splitting giving g=2.04, θ=−2.0 K, and D=−1.7 K.

Heterocyclic dithiocarbazate iron chelators: Fe coordination chemistry and biological activity
Maram T. Basha,Jy D. Chartres,Namfon Pantarat,Mohammad Ali,Aminul Huq Mirza,Danuta S. Kalinowski,Des R. Richardson,Paul V. Bernhardt +7 more
TL;DR: The ability of the dithiocarbazate Schiff base ligands to mobilise Fe from cells and also to prevent Fe uptake from transferrin was examined and all ligands were effective in chelating intracellular Fe relative to known controls such as the clinically important Fe chelator desferrioxamine.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reactivity of [Re{κ3-H(μ-H)B(timMe)2}(CO)3] (timMe = 2-Mercapto-1-methylimidazolyl) toward Neutral Substrates
TL;DR: In this article, the Re(I) tricarbonyl complexes (5-10) have been fully characterized, including by X-ray diffraction analysis in the case of 6, 8, 9, and 10.
Journal ArticleDOI
Manganese catalysed reduction of dioxygen to hydrogen peroxide: structural studies on a manganese(III)–catecholate complex
TL;DR: In this article, a tris (catecholato) complex was synthesized and characterised by X-ray diffraction (triclinic system, space group P 1 ).
