Abstract
Computer Program Abstracts The category Computer Program Abstracts provides a rapid means of communicating up-to-date information concerning both new programs or systems and significant updates to existing ones. Following normal submission, a Computer Program Abstract will be reviewed by one or two members of the IUCr Commission on Crystallographic Computing. It should not exceed 500 words in length and should follow the standard format given on page 189 of the June 1985 issue of the Journal [J. Appl. CrysL (1985). 18, 189190] and on the World Wide Web at http://www.iucr. ac. uk/journals/jac/software/. Journal ArticleDOI

Bile acid amidoalcohols: simple organogelators.

TL;DR: 2-Hydroxyethylamides were found to be effective gelators in chlorinated organic solvents and 3-hydroxypropylamides in aromatic solvent and both derivatives thicken neutral and acidic water solutions.
Journal ArticleDOI

An efficient phosphate sensor: tripodal quinoline excimer transduction

TL;DR: A quinoline based tripodal receptor that shows intermolecular excimer emission has been designed and synthesized as mentioned in this paper, which combines three different types of N-donor with the elegant fluorescent signaling properties.
Journal ArticleDOI

Functional superoxide dismutase mimics. Structural characterization and magnetic exchange interactions of copper(II)-N-substituted sulfonamide dimer complexes.

TL;DR: Dinuclear copper(II) complexes with N-substituted sulfonamide ligands as superoxide dismutase (SOD) mimics have been investigated and the new N-(thiazol-2-yl)toluenesulfonamide (Htz-tol) and N-[Cu(2)(tz-naf)(4)] (2) ligands have been prepared and structurally characterized.
Journal ArticleDOI

Copper(II)-mediated oxidative coupling of 2-aminonaphthalene homologues. Competition between the straight dimerization and the formation of carbazoles.

TL;DR: 2,2'-Diamino-1,1'-bianthryl has been resolved into enantiomers via cocrystallization with (-)-N-benzylcinchonidinium chloride and shown to have (R)-(-)-15 configuration by X-ray crystallography.
Journal ArticleDOI

Novel gold(I) complexes with 5-phenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-thione and phosphine as potential anticancer and antileishmanial agents.

TL;DR: Triethylphosphine gold(I) derivatives presented antimony cross-resistance in L. infantum intracellular amastigotes demonstrating their potential to be used as chemical tools to better understand mechanisms of drug resistance and action.
