Abstract
Computer Program Abstracts The category Computer Program Abstracts provides a rapid means of communicating up-to-date information concerning both new programs or systems and significant updates to existing ones. Following normal submission, a Computer Program Abstract will be reviewed by one or two members of the IUCr Commission on Crystallographic Computing. It should not exceed 500 words in length and should follow the standard format given on page 189 of the June 1985 issue of the Journal [J. Appl. CrysL (1985). 18, 189190] and on the World Wide Web at http://www.iucr. ac. uk/journals/jac/software/. Pentapeptide amides interfere with the aggregation of β-amyloid peptide of Alzheimer's disease

TL;DR: The effects of two pentapeptide amides designed by using the C-terminal sequence of the amyloid peptide as a template are reported and proved their efficiency in vitro and in vivo.

Sulfonate Complexes of Actinide Ions: Structural Diversity in Uranyl Complexes with 2-Sulfobenzoate

TL;DR: The reaction of uranyl nitrate hexahydrate with 2-sulfobenzoate (SB(2-)) in the presence of various amines gave the series of complexes, which display a common motif in which uranyl is chelated by the carboxylate and sulfonate groups of SB, giving a seven-membered ring.

Cytotoxic Titanium Salan Complexes: Surprising Interaction of Salan and Alkoxy Ligands

TL;DR: The synthesis, biochemical evaluation, and hydrolysis studies of a wide selection of alkyl- and halogen-substituted titanium salan alkoxides revealed that both the bulk of the salan ligands and the steric demand of the labile ligands are of great importance for the obtained biological activity.

Bifunctional Water Activation for Catalytic Hydration of Organonitriles

TL;DR: In this paper, the X-ray structure of compound 1 confirms ligand coordination to "Rh(COD)Br" through the carbene carbon featuring an unbound naphthyridine.

Multicomponent self-sorting of a Pd7 molecular boat and its use in catalytic Knoevenagel condensation

TL;DR: Unique three-component self-assembly of a cis-blocked 90° Pd(II) acceptor with a mixture of tri- and tetra-imidazole donors led to the self-sorting of a Pd7 molecular boat with an internal nanocavity, which catalyses the Knoevenagel condensation of a series of aromatic aldehydes with 1,3-dimethylbarbituric acid and Meldrum's acid in a
