Journal ArticleDOI

Z-source inverter

TL;DR: The Z-source converter employs a unique impedance network to couple the converter main circuit to the power source, thus providing unique features that cannot be obtained in the traditional voltage-source (or voltage-fed) and current-source converters where a capacitor and inductor are used, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Predictive Current Control of a Voltage Source Inverter

TL;DR: The results show that the predictive method controls very effectively the load current and performs very well compared with the classical solutions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparison of direct-drive and geared generator concepts for wind turbines

TL;DR: The DFIG1G seems the most attractive in terms of energy yield divided by cost, but the DDPMG has the highest energy yield, but although it is cheaper than the DDSG, it is more expensive than the generator systems with gearbox.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cascaded DC-DC converter connection of photovoltaic modules

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed an alternative topology of nonisolated per-panel dc-dc converters connected in series to create a high voltage string connected to a simplified dc-ac inverter.
