Abstract
This paper indicates that in the current economic climate, linear programming could well be worth reconsidering as a maximizing technique in farm planning. This particularly applies when it is used in conjunction with integer programming, which allows many of L.P.'s problems to be overcome. ADAS procedures for L.P./integer programming are described. Reference is made to a range of models and more detail given on the new Bedfordshire mixed cropping model. An explanation is given as to how ADAS models are used in advisory and promotional work.

Determination of optimum crop mix for crop cultivation in Bangladesh

TL;DR: In this paper, a linear programming model has been developed to determine the area to be used for different crops for maximum contribution to increase the contribution of the agriculture sector through proper crop planning, and the results reveal that an annual contribution can be increased by 15,945.10 million Taka ( US $1.00 = 41.00 Taka approximately) through proper planning.

Multi-stage linear programming model for optimizing cropping plan decisions under the new Common Agricultural Policy

TL;DR: In this paper, a decision support tool based on a multi-stage linear programming model is presented to identify optimal cropping plan decisions under the new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) for Spanish agricultural regions.
