Abstract
The precipitation of the equilibrium δ-Ni3Nb phase has been studied in two niobium bearing nickel base superalloys—INCONEL 718 and INCONEL* 625—both of which are hardenable by the precipitation of the metastableγ″-Ni3Nb phase. The morphology and the distribution of precipitates have been examined and the crystallographic orientation relationship between the austenite and theδ phases has been determined. The nucleation of theδ phase at stacking faults within pre-existing δ" precipitates has been discussed.

Effects of temperature and strain rate on tensile properties and activation energy for dynamic strain aging in alloy 625

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of temperature and strain rate on the tensile properties of the solution-annealed alloy were examined in the temperature range of 300 to 1023 K, employing the strain rates in the range of 3 ×10−5 s−1 to 3×10−3 s− 1.

Effect of Cold Rolling and Heat Treatment on the Mechanical Properties of GH4169 Alloy Sheet at Room Temperature

TL;DR: In this paper, the mechanical properties of GH4169 alloy sheet after cold rolling (at 0, 10, 30, 50% and 70%) and solid solution were investigated and the results showed increases in the yield strength (YS) (0.2%) as well as the ultimate tensile strength (UTS) (UTS) when rolling reduction was increased.

Effects of cold rolling on the precipitation kinetics and the morphology evolution of intermediate phases in Inconel 718 alloy

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of cold rolling on the precipitation kinetics of intermediate phases in Inconel 718 alloy was investigated and it was found that cold rolling promotes global transformation and the morphology of γ″-phase turns more globular with increasing temperature.

Hot working characteristics and dynamic recrystallization of delta-processed superalloy 718

TL;DR: In this paper, the microstructural mechanisms of delta-processed superalloy 718 at various temperatures and strain rates were studied using the processing maps, and the results showed that there are two domains of dynamic recrystallization exhibited in the map: one occurring around 1050°C and 0.001 s−1 with a peak efficiency of 54%.

Configurational Thermodynamics of Solid Solutions

TL;DR: In this article, a review of theoretical models applicable to concentrated solid solutions is presented, focusing on concentrated solutions because dilute ones can be considered as special cases and because the interesting effects of clustering and ordering are most apparent at high solute concentrations.

Heat treatment of 706 alloy for optimum 1200 °F stress-rupture properties

TL;DR: In this article, a heat treatment for 706 alloy was developed which effectively optimizes the 1200°F stress-rupture properties of the alloy by precipitation of globular to plate-like Ni3Cb/Ni3Ti at the grain boundaries in conjunction with maintaining a fine as-forged grain structure.
