TLDR
Interestingly, Pl-Fra expression was induced by the different metals and the induction kinetics revealed its persistent expression during treatments, and its temporal and spatial behavior in response to the three metals was comparable to that of Pl-jun and Pl-MT.

Environmental Stress Responses of DnaJA1, DnaJB12 and DnaJC8 in Apis cerana cerana.

TL;DR: This is the first report that reveals the roles of DnaJ family proteins under different adverse circumstances in A. cerana cerana and indicates that AccDnaJA1,accDnaJB12, andAccDnaJC8 may play pivotal roles in the stress response by facilitating honeybee survival under some adverse circumstances.

Zebrafish (Danio rerio) ecotoxicological ABCB4, ABCC1 and ABCG2a gene promoters depict spatiotemporal xenobiotic multidrug resistance properties against environmental pollutants

TL;DR: This study functionally characterized three major xenobiotic transporter promoters of zebrafish, namely ABCB4, ABCC1 and ABCG2a via in silico transcription factor binding analysis and in vivo spatiotemporal expression analysis and unearthed the localization of these promoters at liver and intestinal tracts during late embryogenesis.

PI3K inhibition highlights new molecular interactions involved in the skeletogenesis of Paracentrotus lividus embryos.

TL;DR: A novel regulatory step in the embryonic skeletogenesis is defined, and an "interactomic" model simulating PI3K connections in P. lividus embryos is proposed, which provides valuable molecular data for further studies on the role ofPI3K signaling in invertebrate biomineralization.

MEGA6: Molecular Evolutionary Genetics Analysis Version 6.0

TL;DR: An advanced version of the Molecular Evolutionary Genetics Analysis software, which currently contains facilities for building sequence alignments, inferring phylogenetic histories, and conducting molecular evolutionary analysis, is released, which enables the inference of timetrees, as it implements the RelTime method for estimating divergence times for all branching points in a phylogeny.

Hazards of heavy metal contamination.

TL;DR: Recent data indicate that adverse health effects of cadmium exposure may occur at lower exposure levels than previously anticipated, primarily in the form of kidney damage but possibly also bone effects and fractures, and measures should be taken to reduce cadmiam exposure in the general population in order to minimize the risk of adverse health results.
