Perceptions on the Effectiveness of Active Learning Strategies
TL;DR: In this article, the authors determine students' and instructors' perceptions regarding the effectiveness of implementing active learning strategies in higher education courses conducted at a tertiary institution in Lebanon and find that the majority of the learners as well as the instructors favored active learning and are strong proponents of putting into effect this approach in all their courses.

Social Media and Academic Performance: Does the Intensity of Facebook Activity Relate to Good Grades?
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed how Facebook use and students' social network positions within it relate to their academic performance and found that Facebook activities during class relate negatively to academic performance, and students located in densely connected subnetworks earn better grades.
