Simulations data is compared to measured data of an experimental calf model and to physiological textbook data to create an object-oriented model library with components of the human cardiovascular system and physiological control mechanisms.
Abstract
Abstract “HumanLib” is an object-oriented model library with components of the human cardiovascular system and physiological control mechanisms. In this paper, after specifying structure and modeling methods, simulated data is compared to measured data of an experimental calf model and to physiological textbook data.

Transformer protein language models are unsupervised structure learners

TL;DR: The highest capacity models that have been trained to date already outperform a state-of-the-art unsupervised contact prediction pipeline, suggesting these pipelines can be replaced with a single forward pass of an end-to-end model.

Evolutionary-scale prediction of atomic level protein structure with a language model

TL;DR: The ESM Metage-nomic Atlas as mentioned in this paper is the first large-scale structural characterization of metagenomic proteins, with more than 617 million structures, including more than 225 million high confidence predictions.

COVID-19 Public Sentiment Insights and Machine Learning for Tweets Classification

TL;DR: Insight is provided into the progress of fear-sentiment over time as COVID-19 approached peak levels in the United States, using descriptive textual analytics supported by necessary textual data visualizations and a methodological overview of two essential machine learning classification methods.

Anipose: a toolkit for robust markerless 3D pose estimation

TL;DR: This work introduces Anipose, a Python toolkit for robust markerless 3D pose estimation and hopes this open-source software and accompanying tutorials will facilitate the analysis of 3D animal behavior and the biology that underlies it.

Systems analysis of arterial pressure regulation and hypertension.

TL;DR: The systems analysis approach has made it possible to differentiate between the primary causes of hypertension and dependent variables of the system, and some of the concepts of pressure control based on acute experiments and then extrapolated to the problem of hypertension have proved to be wrong.

A mathematical model of CO2 effect on cardiovascular regulation

TL;DR: The model may represent a valid support for the interpretation of physiological data on acute cardiovascular regulation and may favor the synthesis of contradictory results into a single theoretical setting.

Modeling Cerebral Blood Flow Control During Posture Change from Sitting to Standing

TL;DR: A mathematical model is presented that can predict blood flow and pressure during posture change from sitting to standing and uses a compartmental approach to describe pulsatile blood flow velocity and pressure in a number of compartments representing the systemic circulation.
