Abstract
The elastic scattering of 800 MeV polarized protons, with longitudinal, normal, and sideways orientations, from deuterons polarized normal to the scattering plane has been measured. The four-momentum transfer interval measured in this experiment is from 0.03 to 0.17 (GeV/c)/sup 2/. Spin-correlation and spin-transfer observables have been extracted from the data. This experiment is one of a series designed to determine a number of observables in excess of the minimum number required to reconstruct the 12 subamplitudes of the proton-deuteron elastic scattering amplitude directly from spin observables. A comparison of the data with theoretical calculations employing three different phase-shift solutions for NN amplitudes reveals that sizable ambiguities exist in the values of NN amplitudes at small momentum transfers.

Energy levels of light nuclei A = 3

TL;DR: In this paper, a compilation of experimental and theoretical information on the mass 3 systems 3n, 3H, 3He and 3p is presented, focusing on advances since the previous evaluation Tilley et al. (1987) [1987TI07] such as, detailed calculations of the vector and tensor analyzing powers for neutron and proton scattering by deuterium which led to the discovery of the still unresolved analyzing power puzzle.

Full determination of the dp backward elastic scattering matrix element

TL;DR: In this article, a model-independent analysis of the dp elastic scattering in the collinear geometry has been performed and it is shown that the measurements of 10 polarization observables of the first-and second-order realize the complete experimental program on the determination of the amplitudes of the Dp backward elastic scattering reaction.
