TLDR
In this article, the hydrogen reduction of pure α-Fe 2 O 3 doped with foreign metal oxides employing a sensitive micro-gravimetric technique was carried out by a consecutive two-step mechanism via Fe 3 O 4, the overall rate being controlled by the topochemical reduction of Fe 3 o 4 while that of doped oxides and hematite ore takes place by a different mechanism involving the mixed ferrite formed.About:

Effect of TiO2 on the Viscosity and Slag Structure in Blast Furnace Type Slags
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compared the viscosity at constant TiO2 of 5 and 10 µm and varying CaO/SiO2 ratio, showing that increasing the CaO /SiO 2 ratio was more effective in decreasing the visosities than TiO 2 additions.

Reduction of iron oxide in carbon monoxide atmosphere—reaction controlled kinetics
TL;DR: In this paper, a kinetic model based on the first-order irreversible rate kinetics was developed and fitted to the TGA data so as to estimate the rate constants for each reduction reaction, which involved reduction of iron oxides, Boudouard reaction and iron-carbide formation.

Relationship between temperature-programmed reduction profile and activity of modified ferrite-based catalysts for WGS reaction
TL;DR: A series of modified ferrites were prepared by doping iron oxide with various transition/non-transition/innertransition metal ions [M = Cr, Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn and Ce] in situ during synthesis as discussed by the authors.

Studies of topochemical heterogeneous catalysis: 3. Catalysis of the reduction of metal oxides by hydrogen
TL;DR: In this article, the reactions of hydrogen gas with solid samples of the oxides Co 3 O 4, Fe 2 O 3, UO 3, Ni 3O 4, MnO 2 and V 2 O 5 have been studied in the presence of a platinum catalyst either deposited on the oxide surface, or supported on alumina and physically mixed with the oxide.

Kenneth M. Sancier,S.H. Inami +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the resonance at g = 2.10, developed upon heating of noble-metal-supported catalysts in hydrogen, results from the reduction of iron oxide to metallic iron also present on the supported catalyst.

Influence of Metallic Additives on the Reduction of Solid Oxides
TL;DR: In this article, the reduction of solid oxides by gaseous reducing agents (chiefly molecular hydrogen) in the presence of small quantities of metallic additives has been investigated, and the general regular features characteristic of these processes have been formulated.
