Abstract: The online teaching in colleges and universities during the COVID-19 outbreak is one of the challenges faced by faculty and students during this period especially for colleges and universities that meet the quality assurance standards and under the accreditation process One of the main requirements of quality standards is to carry out a variety of opinion surveys at different stages among different levels of study, analyze, and then provide recommended solutions based on survey findings Although many researchers have been carried out online teaching, there is no consensus on the impact of a sudden transition from face-to-face learning to online learning especially in community colleges in Saudi Arabia The purpose of this paper is to present the outcomes of the study on students' experiences about online teaching during COVID-19 Outbreak Smart PLS program is used for testing the model and to make sure that the variables are appropriate and the outcomes are valid

Abstract: Abstract This study determines the assessment practices used by teaching staff in Saudi universities, explores how these assessment practices have changed during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic, and investigates how teaching staffs’ priorities and preferences for education on assessment during the pandemic were shaped. To support professional development, the study also aims to raise teaching staffs’ awareness of assessment practices. Teaching staff in Saudi universities were invited to complete the Approaches to Classroom Inventory survey. The results showed that the most highly endorsed practices included giving feedback, linking assessments to learning objectives and learning outcomes, using scoring guides, and monitoring and revising assessment approaches. The least endorsed practices included mapping summative assessment to curriculum expectations, responding to the cultural and linguistic diversity of students, and accommodating students with special needs/exceptionalities in assessments. Further, during the pandemic, formative assessments were rarely used. Although faculty members from various colleges and fields of specialty showed similar patterns in endorsing assessment practices, they differed in their preferences and needs for assessment education.

Abstract: The success of faculty in adopting technology in this digital era has a direct impact on the success of the students and, eventually, the educational institution. Many teachers, on the other hand, have yet to implement technological tools such as Canvas into their classes. As a result, this study looked at art universities lecturers’ opinions of variables influencing actual blackboard use, as well as their desire to utilize the lesson plan in learning and teaching during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The TAM model and the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) were used to analyze lecturers’ satisfaction with the blackboard and their desire to continue using it, as well as the actual usage of blackboards. A survey of 159 professors using Canvas in art instruction at five Saudi Arabian public institutions yielded the research findings. In addition, structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to evaluate the study model as well as the mediating relationship between factors influencing the desire to implement the lesson in learning and teaching during the COVID-19 Pandemic. According to the study’s findings, superior impact, performance expectation, effort expectations, enabling conditions, and reported enjoyment all had statistically significant effects on perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived ease of use. The current study discovered that PU and perception of use had statistically significant influence on behavior intent, actual blackboard usage, and lecturers’ happiness with utilizing blackboard in learning and teaching during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Furthermore, the results demonstrate that lecturer’s intention to continue utilizing chalkboard in learning and teaching during and after COVID-19 Pandemic was influenced by actual usage of blackboard and reported pleasure. The findings are useful for education based, regulators, and practitioners who seek to create and enhance effective methods to use e-learning systems during and after the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Abstract: Purpose This study aims to explore worldwide innovative solutions that have been proposed to mitigate the effects of COVID-19 pandemic on people's mental health. Design/methodology/approach A qualitative methodology is adopted, which performs an exploratory study considering the innovative projects identified by the Observatory for Public Sector Innovation framework. Additionally, the analysis of the relevance and characteristics of these projects are explored considering a multidimensional framework composed of five dimensions: novelty level;social need;improvement of society;sector neutrality;and level of emergence. Findings The findings reveal that the number of projects in the field of mental health is low, despite their strong relevance to their communities. These projects arise from a strong social need to protect especially the most vulnerable groups in this pandemic and involve a large number of partners in the public sector, business and civil society. The role of volunteering in the revitalization and growth of these initiatives is also recognized. Originality/value This study is relevant in both the theoretical and practical dimensions. It allows the exploration of these projects considering the dimensions of social innovation and offers practical implications that allow these projects to be replicated in other countries and regions.

Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic closed schools forcing adoption of online teaching in most of the countries of the world including Nepal. With the help of two secondary level English language teachers’ experience on online teaching, this article aims to reveal the perceptions, challenges and the ways to overcome such challenges on online teaching. The data collected via unstructured interviews and informal conversations were analyzed using general inductive approach. The findings reveal that English language teachers take online class as both opportunity and challenge. Opportunity in the sense that they have got chance to experience something new and challenge in the sense that though they try their utmost, they are not able to make online class as interactive as face to face class. They make the guardians aware of their children’s activities to cope the challenges they face. Moreover, online class can be a good supplement to face to face class rather than replacement to it.
