Abstract: A switching method, an electronic device, and a storage medium are provided. The switching method includes detecting whether a triggering condition is satisfied in a first mode of an electronic device, and in response to the triggering condition being satisfied, switching from the first mode to a second mode. The first mode enables acquisition and output of analysis data. The second mode enables acquisition of the analysis data and non-output of at least one part of the analysis data. The analysis data are related to historical data of one or more of the electronic device, an application in the electronic device, and an owner of the electronic device.

Abstract: Computer display privacy and security for computer systems. In one aspect, the invention provides a computer-controlled system for regulating the interaction between a computer and a user of the computer based on the environment of the computer and the user. For example, the computer-controlled system provided by the invention comprises an input-output device including an image sensor configured to collect facial recognition data proximate to the computer. The system also includes a user security parameter database encoding security parameters associated with the user; the database is also configured to communicate with the security processor. The security processor is configured to receive the facial recognition data and the security parameters associated with the user, and is further configured to at least partially control the operation of the data input device and the data output device in response to the facial recognition data and the security parameters associated with the user.

Abstract: A computing device can monitor the gaze direction of people around the device to determine whether any unintended viewers are viewing content displayed on the device. A user can activate a privacy mode of the device, such that when an unintended viewer is detected the device can take an appropriate action. In some cases the device can notify the primary user of the device using audible, visual, or tactile alerts. In other cases, the device can modify the display of content such that the unintended viewer is unable to decipher or view the content, or is otherwise notified of the detection.

Abstract: Systems and methods that regulate range of access to personal information of a mobile unit's owner. The access control component can designate granularity for access levels and/or a spectrum of access modes—(as opposed to a binary choice of full access or no access at all). Such access can be based on a spectrum and/or discrete trust relationship between the owner and user of the mobile unit. A profile definition component can exploit an owner's trust relationships to designate levels of security. The profile definition component can further define a profile based on a set of applications, such as entertainment mode, browser mode, and the like.

Abstract: A method, transmitting device, and computer-readable storage medium are provided for sharing image data between a source device and at least one receiving device. In one implementation, a method is provided for periodically sending image data of a shared screen to the at least one receiving device using a sharing connection. The method also receives a request associated with activating a user interface component involving confidential information, suspends updating of the image data responsive to the received request, and periodically sends suspended image data to the at least one receiving device while updating is suspended.
