Recent developments on triazole nucleus in anticonvulsant compounds: a review

TL;DR: This work is an attempt to systematically review the research of triazole derivatives in the design and development of anticonvulsant agents during the past two decades.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of N′-arylidene-2-(5-aryl-1H-1, 2, 4-triazol-3-ylthio) acetohydrazides as antidepressants

TL;DR: A series of N′-arylidene-2-(5-aryl-1H-1, 2, 4-triazol-3-ylthio) acetohydrazide were synthesized as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and Anticonvulsant Activity Evaluation of 3-alkoxy-4-(4- (hexyloxy/heptyloxy)phenyl)-4H-1,2,4 -triazole

TL;DR: Its potency against seizures induced by pentylenetetrazole, 3-mercaptopropionic acid, and bicuculline were established, with the results suggesting that GABA-mediated mechanisms might be involved in its anticonvulsant activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and anticonvulsant activity evaluation of 8-alkoxy-5-(4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)quinoline derivatives

TL;DR: The potency of compound 4g against seizures induced by pentylenetetrazole, 3-mercaptopropionic acid, and bicuculline suggested its broad spectrum activity, and the mechanisms of action including inhibition of voltage-gated ion channels and modulation of GABAergic activity might involve in its anticonvulsant activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antitubercular and Anticonvulsant Activities of Phenyl-di-hydropyridazinone Derivatives Containing 2-Substituted amin-1-yl-methyl and 2-(2-1H-amin-1-yl) ethyl Moieties

TL;DR: Two series of 6-phenyl-4,5-dihydropyridazinone derivatives containing 2-substituted amin-1-yl-methyl and 5a-g were synthesized and tested as antitubercular and anticonvulsant agents and exhibited significant anti-tubercular activity.
