TL;DR: In this paper, a distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry around the arsenic atom has been tentatively proposed for these derivatives, and newly synthesized complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis and molecular weight measurements.
Abstract: Phenylarsenic(III) dimethoxide derivatives of substituted benzothia-zolines having the general formula PhAs(OMe) 2 where R = CH 3 , R′ = CH 3 (1), R = C2H5, R′ = C2H5 (2), R = H, R′ = C6H5 (3), R = CH 3 , R′ = C6H5 (4) R = CH3, R′ = C6H4CH3-4 (5), R = CH3, R′ = C6H4Cl-4 (6), have been synthesized by the reaction of PhAs(OMe)2 (prepared in situ) with substituted benzothiazolines in a 1:1 molar ratio in refluxing benzene solution. These newly synthesized complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis and molecular weight measurements. The spectral studies IR, 1 H, and 13 C NMR show the formation of the additional products in which the nitrogen atom of the benzothiazoline-ring coordinate to the central arsenic atom. A distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry around arsenic atom has been tentatively proposed for these derivatives.

TL;DR: A Textbook of Qualitative Analysis of Inorganic Substances by A.S.Kay as mentioned in this paper was published in 1921 and was used for the first time by Gurney and Jackson, who described the practical details of analysis more minutely than is customary.
Abstract: THE practical details of analysis are described in this book more minutely than is customary in order to minimise the necessity of constant supervision of the student. All accounts of the theory, even the chemical equations of the reactions, are omitted. These are to be discussed orally. It would, however, have been very much better to have included them, since students usually carry out the tests mechanically unless they have their attention constantly directed to the chemistry involved. The result is rather reminiscent of cookery.A Text-book of Qualitative Analysis of Inorganic Substances.Dr.S. A.KayBy. Pp. vii + 80. TL;DR: In this paper, the carbon-13 chemical shifts of several monosubstituted benzenes and para-substitized fluorobenzenes have been determined, and the relationships between the 13C and 19F shifts are considered in terms of the available theories of Karplus and Pople, Karplus et al. and Prosser and Goodman.
Abstract: Carbon‐13 chemical shifts of several monosubstituted benzenes and para‐substituted fluorobenzenes have been determined. The shifts of the para carbons in monosubstituted benzenes are found to correlate with Taft's resonance parameters, especially when the shifts are corrected by the amount of the meta shifts. A much less precise correlation is found between the 19F chemical shifts in the para‐substituted fluorobenzenes and the 13C–F chemical shifts in the same set of compounds than between these 19F shifts and the para 13C shifts in monosubstituted benzenes. The relationships between the 13C and 19F shifts are considered in terms of the available theories of Karplus and Pople, Karplus and Das, and Prosser and Goodman, and are discussed in terms of π‐electron densities. It is concluded that both 13C shifts in monosubstituted benzenes and 19F shifts in para‐substituted fluorobenzenes will be useful indices of the π‐electron densities in para positions.
