In this paper, a triangular monopole antenna fed by a tapered-coplanar waveguide (CPW) is presented for IEEE 802.11a and HiperLAN2.
Abstract
A compact triangular monopole antenna fed by a tapered-coplanar waveguide (CPW) is presented. The simulated and measured return loss results are presented. The proposed antenna offers a wide bandwidth from 4.14?9.84 GHz (81%) covering WLAN frequency bands for IEEE 802.11a and HiperLAN2 as is seen from the measured results.

Ultrawide-band square planar metal-plate monopole antenna with a trident-shaped feeding strip

TL;DR: In this article, a trident-shaped feeding strip was used to feed a square planar metal-plate monopole antenna with a very wide impedance bandwidth of about 10 GHz (about 1.4-11.4 GHz, bandwidth ratio about 1:8.3).

Planar elliptical antenna for ultra-wideband communications

TL;DR: In this paper, a printed planar elliptic patch juxtaposed with the ground pattern in a single substrate providing an ultra-wideband impedance bandwidth is presented, which is achieved by using a new impedance-matching technique of cutting a notch at a ground pattern opposite the microstrip line.

Dual-band monopole antenna with shorted parasitic element

TL;DR: In this paper, a printed dual-band C-shaped monopole antenna with a shorted parasitic element is proposed, which can provide two separate impedance bandwidths of 156 MHz and 2048 MHz, respectively, making it easily cover the required bandwidths for wireless local area network (WLAN) operation in the 2.4 GHz band and 5.2/5.8 GHz bands.
