Journal ArticleDOI

Parental occupation and neural tube defect-affected pregnancies among Mexican Americans.

TL;DR: No compelling associations were found between paternal work exposures or occupations and NTDs in offspring in this population of Mexican Americans living along the Texas–Mexico border.
Journal ArticleDOI

Occupational lead exposure among automotive garage workers – a case study for Jimma town, Ethiopia

TL;DR: The findings of the study have clearly demonstrated that the BLLs of automotive-garage workers in Jimma town are considerably high with a range of 11.73 – 36.52 μg/dL and the workers are in danger of impending lead toxicity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Case-control study of multiple chemical sensitivity, comparing haematology, biochemistry, vitamins and serum volatile organic compound measures

TL;DR: The association of lower lymphocyte counts with an increased likelihood of MCS is consistent with theories of immune dysfunction in MCS, and whether avoidance of exposures or different metabolic pathways in cases explain the observed lower VOC levels or the higher chloroform levels should be investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

DDT reintroduction for malaria control: the cost-benefit debate for public health

TL;DR: The aims of the current study were to review the principal toxicological effects of DDT on reproduction, stratifying by physiological periods of exposure, and to discuss the cost-benefit relationship of reintroducing DDT with the specifically defined vector control criteria.
Journal ArticleDOI

Symptom prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders and the effects of prior acute injury among aging male steelworkers.

TL;DR: Symptom Prevalence of Musculoskeletal Disorders and the Effects of Prior Acute Injury among Aging Male Steelworkers: Won‐Jun Choi, et al.
