EPR Studies of Xanthine Oxidoreductase and Other Molybdenum-Containing Hydroxylases

TL;DR: In this paper, a summary of early work establishing the different types of EPR signals manifested by the molybdenum centers of enzymes such as xanthine oxidoreductase and more recent studies, frequently employing more advanced EPR-related methods, which have contributed significantly to our understanding of the physical and electronic structures of the enzyme active site.
Journal ArticleDOI

Reaction Chemistry of the syn-[Mo2O2(μ-S)2(S2)(DMF)3] Complex with Cyanide and Catalytic Thiocyanate Formation.

TL;DR: The approach to determine the number of cyanide ligands participating in the ligand exchange reaction by varying the stoichiometry and reaction temperature led to identification and isolation of tetranuclear complexes 2 and 5 and dinuclear complexes 3, 4, and 6.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cloud point extraction of 99Mo with Triton X-114

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported the cloud point extraction (CPE) extraction behavior of 99Mo in non-ionic Triton X-114 (TX-114), sodiumdodecyl sulphate (SDS)+ TX-114 and sodium diethyldithiocarbamate (DDTC)+TX- 114.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and characterization of asymmetric [Mo2O2(μ-S)2(S2)(L)] complexes (L = bipy, en, dien) and their heterogeneous reaction with propylene sulfide

TL;DR: In this article, the asymmetric dinuclear complexes, [Mo2O2(μ-S)2(S2)(L)] (1, L=bipyridine (bipy); 2, L =ethylene diamine (en), 3, L`=diethylenediamine (dien)) in facile ligand exchange reaction were obtained from DMF/ether solution as dark red plates and analyzed by X-ray diffraction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microwave‐assisted synthesis of disulfides using tetrathiomolybdate: A step toward greener synthesis

TL;DR: An eco-friendly, efficient, and rapid synthetic procedure for disulfides using benzyl triethyl ammonium tetrathiomolybdate through microwave irradiation of solid support adsorbed reactants is reported in this paper.

Hard and soft acids and bases

TL;DR: In this paper, the rate data for the generalized nucleophilic displacement reaction were reviewed, and the authors presented a method to estimate the rate of the generalized displacement reaction in terms of the number of nucleophiles.
Journal ArticleDOI

Alkyl and aryl derivatives of π-cyclopentadienyl compounds of chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, and iron

TL;DR: In this article, the preparation of alkyl and aryl π-cyclopentadienyl carbon monoxide or nitric oxide compounds of Cr, Mo, W, and Fe is described.
