Abstract
By way of worked examples in typical but somewhat idealized cases the effect on circuit speed of circuit interconnections is studied. The source, calculation and minimization of interconnection crosstalk is also discussed. It is shown that high-speed circuitry must be miniaturized and the implications are discussed.

MIRIM: Modified Interleaved Repeater Insertion Methodology to Reduce Delay Uncertainty in Global Interconnections

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented an accurate methodology for the optimum interleaved-repeater positioning in global interconnects, which has been proven to minimize the delay uncertainty caused by the coupling capacitance of the switching adjacent lines.

Frequency domain analysis of crosstalk in coupled microstrip lines

TL;DR: In this article, a method for the analysis of coupled transmission lines in the Fourier transform (frequency domain) is presented, which enables an easy interpretation of results along with means of direct comparison of measurements done in the frequency domain.

Characterization and modeling of crosstalk bounded uncorrelated jitter (Buj) for high-speed interconnects

TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed a jitter model to calculate the time difference between the distortion-free and the distorted edge crossings and extended it to calculate worst-case timing difference.

Electrical Characteristics of a Superconducting High-Speed Computer Package

TL;DR: In this paper, it is shown how to calculate plots that show cross-talk between connectors as a function of signal wavefront speed (T), using the parameter SGCR, which is defined as the ratio of number of signal connectors to the number of ground connectors.

The Atlas supervisor

TL;DR: In this article, a brief description of work originating in the Computer Group at Manchester University is given, where the core store is divided into 512 word "pages"; this is also the size of the fixed blocks on drums and magnetic tapes.
