The purpose of this research was to propound the conceptual model of a sustainable information society. First, the essence of a sustainable information society in the context of an information society concept is presented. Secondly, different kinds of phenomena and trends of sustainable information society development are identified and diagnosed. Thirdly, assumptions for the model of a sustainable information society are formulated. Finally, special attention is given to the presentation of the sustainable information society model. Discussion of research findings and future works for both researchers and practitioners complete the paper.read more
