The hyper-zagreb index of graph operations

01 May 2013-Iranian journal of mathematical chemistry (IRANIAN JOURNAL OF MATHEMATICAL CHEMISTRY)-Vol. 4, Iss: 2, pp 213-220
TL;DR: In this article, the Hyper Zagreb index of Cartesian product, composition, join, and disjunction of graphs is computed for simple connected graphs, where the distance between vertices is defined as the degree of vertices.
Abstract: Let G be a simple connected graph. The first and second Zagreb indices have been introduced as  vV(G) (v)2 M1(G) degG and M2(G)  uvE(G)degG(u)degG(v) , respectively, where degG v(degG u) is the degree of vertex v (u) . In this paper, we define a new distance-based named HyperZagreb as e uv E(G) . (v))2 HM(G)     (degG(u)  degG In this paper, the HyperZagreb index of the Cartesian product, composition, join and disjunction of graphs are computed.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors focus on the family of smart polymer which is widely used in anticancer drugs manufacturing and determine several topological indices on these chemical molecular structures, and these results remedy the lack of chemical and medicine experiments thus providing the theoretical basis for pharmaceutical engineering.
Abstract: Numerous studies indicate that there is strong inherent relationship between the chemical characteristics of chemical compounds and drugs (e.g., boiling point and melting point) and their molecular structures. Topological indices defined on these chemical molecular structures can help researchers better understand the physical features, chemical reactivity, and biological activity. Thus, the study of the topological indices on chemical structure of chemical materials and drugs can make up for lack of chemical experiments and can provide a theoretical basis for the manufacturing of drugs and chemical materials. In this paper, we focus on the family of smart polymer which is widely used in anticancer drugs manufacturing. Several topological indices are determined in view of edge dividing methods, and these results remedy the lack of chemical and medicine experiments thus providing the theoretical basis for pharmaceutical engineering.

TL;DR: The chemical graphs of carbon graphite and crystal structure of cubic carbon are studied and closed formulas of degree based additive topological indices, namely hyper-Zagreb index, first multiple and second multiple Zag Croatia indices, and first and second Zagreb polynomials are computed.
Abstract: Graph theory is used for modeling, designing, analysis and understanding chemical structures or chemical networks and their properties. The molecular graph is a graph consisting of atoms called vertices and the chemical bond between atoms called edges. In this article, we study the chemical graphs of carbon graphite and crystal structure of cubic carbon. Moreover, we compute and give closed formulas of degree based additive topological indices, namely hyper-Zagreb index, first multiple and second multiple Zagreb indices, and first and second Zagreb polynomials.

TL;DR: Zagreb types of indices and Zagreb polynomials for a few Nanotubes covered by cycles are discussed and these indices are valuable in the investigation of mitigating exercises of specific Nanot tubes and compound systems.
Abstract: Topological indices are numbers related to sub-atomic graphs to allow quantitative structure-movement/property/danger connections. These topological indices correspond to some specific physico-concoction properties such as breaking point, security, strain vitality of chemical compounds. The idea of topological indices were set up in compound graph hypothesis in view of vertex degrees. These indices are valuable in the investigation of mitigating exercises of specific Nanotubes and compound systems. In this paper, we discuss Zagreb types of indices and Zagreb polynomials for a few Nanotubes covered by cycles.
