Infrared spectra of sodium phosphate glasses
Yasser M. Moustafa,K. El-Egili +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the relative intensity of the IR bands responsible for the different phosphate units was analyzed to determine the relative spectrum intensity of different units, and it was shown that the substitution of P2O5 by Na2O influences the intermediate range order of the glass matrix.
Journal ArticleDOI
Types of "H2O" in human enamel and in precipitated apatites.
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the loss of “H2O” below 200°C is reversible and causes no significant change in the lattice parameter of these apatites, whereas loss of H2O between 200° and 400°C are irreversible and causes a contraction in the α-axis dimension.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characterization of Zirconium Phosphate/Polycation Thin Films Grown by Sequential Adsorption Reactions
TL;DR: In this article, a multilayer thin film consisting of anionic α-zirconium phosphate (α-ZrP) sheets and polycations (poly(allylamine hydrochloride) (PAH), cytochrome c) were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), ellipsometry, UV−visible absorbance spectroscopy, reflectance FT-IR, XPS, and X-ray diffraction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Structure and properties of silver phosphate glasses — Infrared and visible spectra
TL;DR: In this paper, the infrared and visible spectra of glasses in the Ag2OP2O5 glass-forming system were obtained and the partial covalent nature of the Ag-O-P bond was discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Post-deposition heat treatments for ion beam sputter deposited calcium phosphate coatings
Joo L. Ong,Linda C. Lucas +1 more
TL;DR: Calcium phosphate coatings produced using the ion beam sputter deposition process are amorphous and a series of different post-deposition heat treatments were conducted to produce crystalline HA-type coatings, suggesting the formation of a new phase.
