The Intervention of Music Therapy on Behavioral Training of High-Functioning Autistic Children under Intelligent Health Monitoring

Abstract: Autism is a serious and widespread developmental disorder in children. With the increase of autistic children every year, it is necessary to study a set of effective music therapy activities that can penetrate into life to help autistic children's rehabilitation training. This paper aims to study the behavioral training of high-functioning autistic children with music therapy intervention under intelligent health monitoring. The autistic children were selected and divided into experimental group and control group. According to the psychological and physiological characteristics of five autistic children aged 5-7 years in the experimental group, the music therapy activity plan was designed, and the experimental intervention was carried out by combining individual music therapy and group music therapy. Compared with the control group, this paper explores the effect of music on the treatment of children with autism. The experimental results of this paper show that the language, social, cognitive, and behavioral problems of autistic children under music therapy under intelligent health monitoring have been significantly improved, and their emotional response ability has improved the most, increasing by 34%. Communication ability was next, increased by 20.3%; motor coordination ability increased by 20%; and cognitive ability improved by 11%. It can be explained that the four aspects of language, social interaction, cognition, and behavior have been significantly improved after music therapy.

Abstract: With the advancement of new technologies, the number of connected devices, the amount of data generated, and the need to build an intelligently connected network of things to improve and enrich the human ecosystem open new doors to modifications and adaptations of current cellular network infrastructures. While more focus is given to low power wide area (LPWA) applications and devices, a significant challenge is the definition of Internet of Things (IoT) use cases and the value generation of applications on already existing IoT devices. Smartphones and related devices are currently manufactured with a wide range of smart sensors such as accelerometers, video sensors, compasses, gyros, proximity sensors, fingerprint sensors, temperature sensors, and biometric sensors used for various purposes. Many of these sensors can be automatically expanded to monitor a user’s daily activities (e.g., fitness workouts), locations, movements, and real-time body temperatures. Mobile network operators (MNOs) play a substantial role in providing IoT communications platforms, as they manage traffic flow in the network. In this paper, we discuss the global concept of IoT and machine-type communication (MTC), and we conduct device performance analytics based on data traffic collected from a cellular network. The experiment equips service providers with a model and framework to monitor device performance in a network.

Abstract: BACKGROUND Nonpharmacological interventions appear to benefit many patients and do not have the side effects commonly associated with medications. Music-based experiences may benefit critical care patients. OBJECTIVE To examine the effect of an active music therapy intervention on physiological parameters and self-reported pain and anxiety levels of patients in the intensive care unit. METHODS A study was conducted using a pretest-posttest, within-subject, single-group design. The study population consisted of a convenience sample of 52 patients. Study participants received a 30-minute music therapy session consisting of either a relaxation intervention or a "song choice" intervention. The music therapist recorded the patients' vital signs before and after the intervention, and patients completed self-assessments of their pain and anxiety levels before and after the intervention. RESULTS After the intervention, significant decreases (all P < .001) were found in respiratory rate (mean difference, 3.7 [95% CI, 2.6-4.7] breaths per minute), heart rate (5.9 [4.0-7.8] beats per minute), and self-reported pain (1.2 [0.8-1.6] points) and anxiety levels (2.7 [2.2-3.3] points). No significant change in oxygen saturation level was observed. Outcomes differed between the 2 intervention groups: patients receiving the relaxation intervention often fell asleep. CONCLUSIONS The results of this study support active music therapy as a nonpharmacological intervention in intensive care units. This study may lay the groundwork for future research on music therapy in critical care units using larger, more diverse samples.

Abstract: Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) connected in the form of Internet of Things (IoT) are vulnerable to various security threats, due to the infrastructure-less deployment of IoT devices Device-to-Device (D2D) authentication of these networks ensures the integrity, authenticity, and confidentiality of information in the deployed area The literature suggests different approaches to address security issues in CPS technologies However, they are mostly based on centralized techniques or specific system deployments with higher cost of computation and communication It is therefore necessary to develop an effective scheme that can resolve the security problems in CPS technologies of IoT devices In this paper, a lightweight Hash-MAC-DSDV (Hash Media Access Control Destination Sequence Distance Vector) routing scheme is proposed to resolve authentication issues in CPS technologies, connected in the form of IoT networks For this purpose, a CPS of IoT devices (multi-WSNs) is developed from the local-chain and public chain, respectively The proposed scheme ensures D2D authentication by the Hash-MAC-DSDV mutual scheme, where the MAC addresses of individual devices are registered in the first phase and advertised in the network in the second phase The proposed scheme allows legitimate devices to modify their routing table and unicast the one-way hash authentication mechanism to transfer their captured data from source towards the destination Our evaluation results demonstrate that Hash-MAC-DSDV outweighs the existing schemes in terms of attack detection, energy consumption and communication metrics
