The main contribution of the study is uncovering the mediation effect of SCA on the SCO–SCP link, which indicates that SCO and SCA are directly and significantly related with SCP.
Abstract
The role of supply chain agility (SCA) and its effect on supply chain performance (SCP) is poorly recognised in the operations management literature. As the nature of supply chain is inclining towards high flexibility, the SCA becomes value enhancing, indicating its effective nature. This paper proposes a model linking supply chain orientation (SCO) and SCA with SCP. Cross sectional survey of 122 Indian manufacturers was carried out. The result indicates that SCO and SCA are directly and significantly related with SCP. The main contribution of the study is uncovering the mediation effect of SCA on the SCO–SCP link. The theoretical as well as managerial implications along with scope for future research and limitations of the study are also discussed.

The triple-a supply chain and strategic resources: developing competitive advantage

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined what combinations of these capabilities lead to the same outcome (i.e., high firm performance) and found that firms currently do not necessarily have to concomitantly develop capabilities across all triple-A components.

Manufacturing Practices and Strategic Goal Integration: Effects on Cost Efficiency, Flexibility, and Market-based Performance

TL;DR: In this article, a more complete theory, advancing the idea that strategy integration and enhanced manufacturing capabilities such as cost efficiency and flexibility serve as intermediaries by which practices affect performance, is presented.

Impact strategic sourcing, supplier innovativeness, and information sharing on supply chain agility

TL;DR: In this article, the authors explored the nexus between supplier innovativeness, information sharing, strategic sourcing and supply chain agility, and employed the survey-based methodology, the SEM-PLS technique is used to test the hypothesized relationships.

Linking supply chain integration to supply chain orientation and performance – a knowledge integration perspective from Indian manufacturing industries

TL;DR: This paper establishes the mediating role of SCI for overall SCP in emerging economies but also enhances the scholarly knowledge in the SC domain.

The moderator–mediator variable distinction in social psychological research: Conceptual, strategic, and statistical considerations.

TL;DR: This article seeks to make theorists and researchers aware of the importance of not using the terms moderator and mediator interchangeably by carefully elaborating the many ways in which moderators and mediators differ, and delineates the conceptual and strategic implications of making use of such distinctions with regard to a wide range of phenomena.

Common method biases in behavioral research: a critical review of the literature and recommended remedies.

TL;DR: The extent to which method biases influence behavioral research results is examined, potential sources of method biases are identified, the cognitive processes through which method bias influence responses to measures are discussed, the many different procedural and statistical techniques that can be used to control method biases is evaluated, and recommendations for how to select appropriate procedural and Statistical remedies are provided.

Dynamic capabilities and strategic management

TL;DR: The dynamic capabilities framework as mentioned in this paper analyzes the sources and methods of wealth creation and capture by private enterprise firms operating in environments of rapid technological change, and suggests that private wealth creation in regimes of rapid technology change depends in large measure on honing intemal technological, organizational, and managerial processes inside the firm.
