Roger F. Sebenik,A. Richard Burkin,Robert R. Dorfler,John M. Laferty,Gerhard Leichtfried,Hartmut Meyer‐Grünow,Philip C. H. Mitchell,Mark S. Vukasovich,Douglas A. Church,Gary G. Van Riper,James C. Gilliland,Stanley A. Thielke +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a survey of the Molybdenum chemistry and its application in various areas of industry, such as mining, automotive, agriculture, and economic aspects.
Journal ArticleDOI
Solvatochromism of Mono- and Dimolybdenum Coordination Compounds of Dipyridyloctatetraene and Linear Solvation Energy Relationship Models Based on the Kamlet-Taft and Drago Scales of Solvent Polarity.
TL;DR: The heteroleptic molybdenum complexes have been analyzed quantitatively by means of linear solvation energy relationships based on Kamlet-Taft solvatochromism parameters, as well as on Drago's "unified scale of solvent polarity".
Journal Article
Synthesis and dynamic nuclear magnetic resonance studies of pentafluorobenzenethiolate complexes of molybdenum and tungsten. The crystal and molecular structures of [W(SC6F5)3(CO)(η5-C5H5)]•O.5CH2Cl2 and [N(PPh3)2][Mo(SC6F5)4(η5-C5H5)]
TL;DR: In this paper, the reaction between [WBr 3 (CO) 2 (η 5 -C 5 H 5 )] and excess of Tl(SC 6 F 5 ) affords Tl[WBr 2 (CO), η 5 −C 5H 5 )] (2b) as the major product and [W(SC6F 5 ) 3 ( CO), Δ − 5 − C 5 H5 )] (3) as minor product.

Journal ArticleDOI
Alkene-like rotation of unsaturated Rh2 and CoRh fragments when bonded to molybdenum pentacarbonyl; X-ray crystal structure of [MoRh2(µ-CO)2(CO)5(η-C5Me5)2]
TL;DR: In this article, the preferred orientation of the MRh groups with respect to the cis-CO ligands of the Mo(CO)5moiety is staggered, but in the CoMoRh species rotation occurs in solution about an axis through the Mo and the midpoint of the Co-Rh vector.
Journal ArticleDOI
The reaction of MoMe(CO)3(η-C5H5) with LiEt3BH, formation of an anionic η2-acetaldehyde–molybdenum complex via formyl alkyl and hydrido acyl molybdenum intermediates
TL;DR: The reaction of MoMe(CO)3(η-C5H5) with LiEt3BH results in initial formation of the anionic formyl Mo(CHO)Me( CO)2(δ-C 5H5 )−(3) which undergoes subsequent successive rearrangements to the hydrido acyl Mo[C(O)Me]H(CO), Mo[CO]H (CO)2 (δ)-CO)
Journal ArticleDOI
A convenient, one-step synthesis of the cationic η3-allyl-molybdenum complex [(η5-C5H5)2Mo(η3-C3H5)]+[p-CH3C6H4SO3]−
TL;DR: In this paper, the electrophilic cleavage of the allylO bond of the coordinated allyl alcohol is explained by the mechanism of which is explained in the mechanism described in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Conformational analysis and chirality transmission in organometallic compounds: X-ray structure analysis of C5H5(CO)2MoN(CH2C6H5)C(C6H5)N[CH(CH3)(C6H5)]
TL;DR: In this paper, the structure and absolute configuration of C5H5(CO)2MoN(CH2C6H5)-C(C 6H5)N[CH(CH3)(C6h5)] was determined.
Journal ArticleDOI
