The Realization of the Remote Communication between PC and the Controller in Aquarium Based on RS-485 Bus

TL;DR: The communication structure based on 485 buses between one-chip computer and PC is proposed, the hardware circuit in remote communication designed, the data form, baud rate and the way of the communication protocol proposed, and finally the remote control and management of many aquariums are realized.
Abstract: The paper analyzed most of the aquariums controller currently applied,explained the deficiency that a single controller of the aquariums is unable to realize the long-distance control and the inefficient management exists.The communication structure based on 485 buses between one-chip computer and PC is proposed,the hardware circuit in remote communication designed,the data form,baud rate and the way of the communication protocol proposed,the procedure flowchart of the communication between one-chip computer and PC designed,the designing of the procedure core modules explained,and finally the remote control and management of many aquariums are realized.

Abstract: In recent years, with the rapid development of ornamental fisheries and recreational fisheries, different varieties of ornamental fish have come into many office business palaces and people’s house. The Aquarium and many other aquarium equipment are developing from functionality to intelligentize. Through the industry research, a set of remote automation monitoring and control equipment for the aquarium will have important significance and development prospect. The system stores and transmits the video of the aquarium gathered by camera through the IMagineWorld center platform software. The Internet user accesses the center platform to monitor the aquarium by IE or mobile terminal software. The user can get the temperature data of the aquarium through RS485 transparent protocol. And the user can also control the oxygen adding, warmer and filtering equipment remotely by the I/O alarm output of the video server. Through the user testing, the system plays a good effect and has wide application and popularization value.

Abstract: With the progress of information technology, The small aquarium and its auxiliary equipment, which are used to raise fish, have gradually developed from functionalization to intellectualization. The aquarium equipment which can realize remote automatic monitoring will change people’s traditional ornamental fish culture to a large extent. The dynamic image of the aquarium collected by analog vidicon through the IMagineWorld service system will be stored and transmitted in this system. The user can monitor the growth of fish at any time and in any place via the network server platform of mobile communication terminal software platform. Meanwhile, users utilize RS485 transparent protocol to obtain the temperature data, and remotely operate the Oxygen increasing equipment, heating, lighting and filtration system through the I/O alarm output port of the video encoder. It is necessary to popularize this production, which has achieved great response in testing.
