TL;DR: In this paper, a spectral relaxation method was proposed to analyze the two-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic flow and heat and mass transfer phenomena of water-based nanofluid containing gyrotactic microorganisms over a vertical plate by means of heat generation or absorption.
Abstract: The principal aim of this paper is to analyse the two-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic flow and heat and mass transfer phenomena of water-based nanofluid containing gyrotactic microorganisms over a vertical plate by means of heat generation or absorption. Set of nonlinear ordinary differential equations are derived from the governing partial differential equations of the two-dimensional flow of MHD nanofluid and nanoparticles by utilizing appropriate similarity transformations. The numerical results are obtained with the proposed novel spectral relaxation method. The results revealed that in the heat and mass transfer, the motile microorganism flux rates as well as the velocity profiles are decreased throughout the fluid medium with the impact of magnetic field strength. Moreover, the drag stress rate and motile microorganism profiles are increased with the enhancement of magnetic field. Even though the problem of nanofluid has been broadly investigated, limited discoveries can be found through a gyrotactic microorganisms. Indeed, this paper managed to obtain the numerical analysis is performed. Furthermore, the authors also considered the MHD phenomena, heat generation or absorption effects. Very few studies in the fluid with gyrotactic microorganisms embedded in this parameter in their problems.

TL;DR: In this article, a hydromagnetic transverse flow of an Oldroyd-B-type liquid with a heat flux of the Cattaneo-Christov model with variable thickness was analyzed.
Abstract: A hydromagnetic transverse flow of an Oldroyd-B-type liquid with a heat flux of the Cattaneo–Christov model with variable thickness has been analyzed. Consider additional impacts of thermal conductivity as well as heat generation. Governing equations were transmitted into a set of nonlinear ordinary differential equations using similarity conversion, and then, numerical solution was evaluated using the procedure Runge–Kutta–Fehlberg. The physical response related to velocity and temperature is investigated computationally. The outcomes also show that the momentum boundary-layer thickness increases the values of magnetic field strength, but the reverse trend is observed for the thermal boundary layer. Impacts of retardation and relaxation time effects are quite the opposite of the temperature field. The obtained computations are useful in transport phenomena which are involving hydromagnetic rheological fluids.

Abstract: The heat and mass transportation for the bioconvection transient rotating flow of Maxwell nanofluid over Riga plate is inspected in the present investigation The bioconvection is utilized alongside nanofluids to provide stability to improved thermal transportation Further, Cattano-Christov theory, Buongiorno model, binary chemical reaction, and activation energy are incorporated The unsteady three dimensional partially differentiate formulation is simplified in the form of two independent coordinates ( ζ , η ) For steady-state solution ( ζ = 1 ) , Glerikin discretization in used to employ finite element simulation in MATLAB environment The buoyancy ratio parameters, unsteady parameter, rotating parameter, thermophoresis, and Brownian motion parameter escalated the nanofluid temperature field Modified electromagnetic parameter M H accelerated the primary flow velocity and activation energy augmented the volume fraction of nanoparticles in the boundary layer region The larger modified Hartmaan number M H reduces the coefficient of skin friction in primary direction but the magnitude of coefficient of skin friction in secondary direction is augmented The local Nusselt number Re x 1 / 2 Nu x is directly proportional to M H and β 2 but it is inversely related to β 1 and α T

TL;DR: In this article, the mathematical modeling of unsteady flow of micropolar Cu-Al2O3/water nanofluid driven by a deformable sheet in stagnation region with thermal radiation effect has been explored numerically.
Abstract: The mathematical modeling of unsteady flow of micropolar Cu–Al2O3/water nanofluid driven by a deformable sheet in stagnation region with thermal radiation effect has been explored numerically To achieve the system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations (ODEs), we have employed some appropriate transformations and solved it numerically using MATLAB software (built-in solver called bvp4c) Influences of relevant parameters on fluid flow and heat transfer characteristic are discussed and presented in graphs The findings expose that double solutions appear in shrinking sheet case in which eventually contributes to the analysis of stability The stability analysis therefore confirms that merely the first solution is a stable solution Addition of nanometer-sized particle (Cu) has been found to significantly strengthen the heat transfer rate of micropolar nanofluid When the copper nanoparticle volume fraction increased from 0 to 001 (1%) in micropolar nanofluid, the heat transfer rate increased roughly to an average of 17725% The result also revealed that an upsurge in the unsteady and radiation parameters have been noticed to enhance the local Nusselt number of micropolar hybrid nanofluid Meanwhile, the occurrence of material parameter conclusively decreases it

TL;DR: In this article, the behavior of laminar and turbulent boundary layers on a moving continuous cylindrical surface is investigated by the integral method, based on assumed velocity profiles that satisfy the appropriate boundary conditions.
Abstract: The behavior of laminar and turbulent boundary layers on a moving continuous cylindrical surface is investigated by the integral method, based on assumed velocity profiles that satisfy the appropriate boundary conditions. Equations for the characteristic boundary-layer parameters are presented for both the laminar and turbulent boundary layers, and comparison is made with the boundary-layer behavior over a cylindrical surface of finite length. The analysis for the laminar boundary layer with a logarithmic velocity profile leads to satisfactory results. The turbulent boundary-layer behavior on continuous cylindrical surfaces, and cylindrical surfaces of finite length, can best be investigated experimentally.

TL;DR: In this article, a thorough review of the current literature, governmental funding, and policy documents was undertaken, revealing that despite the potential impact of NT, and the abundance of funds, there is a paucity of serious, published research into the ethical, legal and social implications of NT.
Abstract: Nanotechnology (NT) is a rapidly progressing field. Advances will have a tremendous impact on fields such as materials, electronics, and medicine. A thorough review of the current literature, governmental funding, and policy documents was undertaken. Despite the potential impact of NT, and the abundance of funds, our research revealed that there is a paucity of serious, published research into the ethical, legal, and social implications of NT. As the science leaps ahead, the ethics lags behind. There is danger of derailing NT if the study of ethical, legal, and social implications does not catch up with the speed of scientific development.
