TLDR
AHP has been used for solving multi-criteria resource allocation problems by converting them into equivalent single objective, maximization-type LP problems as mentioned in this paper, and at least two approaches can be identified for such applications.

Fuzzy Multiattribute Decision-Making for Solid Waste Management with Societal Complications

Ni-Bin Chang, +1 more
TL;DR: This chapter provides the readers with a capsule look into the fundamentals of fuzzy set theory and existing fuzzy multiattribute decision-making problems with possible extensions and applications in dealing with two different types of solid waste management (SWM) issues.

A revenue allocation scheme based on pairwise comparisons.

TL;DR: An axiom called scale invariance is introduced, which requires the ranking of teams to be independent of the parameter controlling inequality, and the eigenvector method is revealed to violate this condition in the dataset.

A Fuzzy Multicriteria Grade Cluster Analysis for the Budget Allocation of Tourism and Leisure Resources

TL;DR: The fuzzy multicriteria grade cluster analysis model put forward by as mentioned in this paper can objectively deal with the need priorities of tourism and leisure resources so the budget is allocated first to the projects which are in urgent need of money.

Optimal Rural Energy Management: A Case Study

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors considered a village in Sonitpur district of Assam for planning of domestic energy consumption and supply, and used the information pertaining to domestic consumption of 180 household.

An application of the AHP in evaluating the sales channels of the Chinese flower market

TL;DR: In this paper, the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is applied to evaluate the marketing modes of Shanghai flower market, because of the large flower consumption volume and the location of gathering flower products from nationwide before export.

The Analytic Hierarchy Process

TL;DR: Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) as mentioned in this paper is a systematic procedure for representing the elements of any problem hierarchically, which organizes the basic rationality by breaking down a problem into its smaller constituent parts and then guides decision makers through a series of pairwise comparison judgments to express the relative strength or intensity of impact of the elements in the hierarchy.

Decisions with Multiple Objectives: Preferences and Value Trade-Offs

TL;DR: In this article, a confused decision maker, who wishes to make a reasonable and responsible choice among alternatives, can systematically probe his true feelings in order to make those critically important, vexing trade-offs between incommensurable objectives.

An extension of the analytic hierarchy process for industrial R&D project selection and resource allocation

TL;DR: In this article, an extension of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) for priority setting and resource allocation in the industrial R&D environment is explored, and an AHP modeling framework is developed, and is linked to a spreadsheet model to assist in the ranking of a large number of project alternatives.
