TLDR
In this article, a study using the theory of planned behavior (TPB) to explore environmental behavioral intentions in a workplace setting was presented, and the results form a basis upon which interventions could be developed within the host organization, and are discussed in relation to their implications, in terms of theory, practice and future research.

Employee Green Behavior: A Theoretical Framework, Multilevel Review, and Future Research Agenda

TL;DR: In this article, a conceptual model based on person-environment interaction, job performance, and motivational theories is proposed to structure a multilevel review of the employee green behavior (EGB) literature and agenda for future research.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ten questions concerning occupant behavior in buildings: The big picture

TL;DR: The use of simplified methods or tools to quantify the impacts of occupant behavior in building performance simulations significantly contributes to performance gaps between simulated models and actual building energy consumption as mentioned in this paper, and therefore, it is crucial to understand occupant behaviour in a comprehensive way, integrating qualitative approaches and data-and model-driven quantitative approaches.

Application of the extended theory of planned behavior to understand individual’s energy saving behavior in workplaces

TL;DR: In this article, an extended theory of planned behavior (TPB) has been used as the theoretical research framework to explore the determinants of individual's energy saving behavior in workplaces.

Pro-environmental behaviors through the lens of the theory of planned behavior: A scoping review

TL;DR: This paper conducted a literature review with the following objectives: 1) explore which individual green behaviors were studied through the lens of the TPB, 2) understand how scholars have used the theory and what variance the theory has helped to explain, and 3) formulate recommendations, if necessary, for improving the use of the theory.

Theory of Reasoned Action application for Green Information Technology acceptance

TL;DR: Investigation of behavior for the adoption of GIT applying the conceptual model, referred to as the 'Theory of Reasoned Action' (TRA), indicated that behavioral intention influences actual behavior positively.

The moderator–mediator variable distinction in social psychological research: Conceptual, strategic, and statistical considerations.

TL;DR: This article seeks to make theorists and researchers aware of the importance of not using the terms moderator and mediator interchangeably by carefully elaborating the many ways in which moderators and mediators differ, and delineates the conceptual and strategic implications of making use of such distinctions with regard to a wide range of phenomena.

Cutoff criteria for fit indexes in covariance structure analysis : Conventional criteria versus new alternatives

TL;DR: In this article, the adequacy of the conventional cutoff criteria and several new alternatives for various fit indexes used to evaluate model fit in practice were examined, and the results suggest that, for the ML method, a cutoff value close to.95 for TLI, BL89, CFI, RNI, and G...

The theory of planned behavior

TL;DR: Ajzen, 1985, 1987, this article reviewed the theory of planned behavior and some unresolved issues and concluded that the theory is well supported by empirical evidence and that intention to perform behaviors of different kinds can be predicted with high accuracy from attitudes toward the behavior, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control; and these intentions, together with perceptions of behavioral control, account for considerable variance in actual behavior.

From Intentions to Actions: A Theory of Planned Behavior

Icek Ajzen
TL;DR: There appears to be general agreement among social psychologists that most human behavior is goal-directed (e. g., Heider, 1958 ; Lewin, 1951), and human social behavior can best be described as following along lines of more or less well-formulated plans.
