Abstract
In order to investigate the feasibility of magnetorheological(MR)damper application to vehicle vi- bration control,the influence of 14 parameters of Bouc-Wen model on damping force was revealed by numerical computation and analysis.The vehicle suspension model was analyzed and simulated based on Bouc-Wen model by stochastic theory.It is indicated that the nonlinear damping model is more accurate to describe the physical characteristics of the vehicle suspension than the traditional linear damper.Better control strategy is necessary to improve auto-motive ride comfort.The dynamic characteristics of suspension under sinusoidal excitation and ran- dom excitation by semi-active adjustable magnetorheological damper control,passive control,active control and semi-active on-off control are compared.The feasibility of magnetorheological damper in automobile control engi- neering is proved,and its great application value is demonstrated.
