TLDR
In this paper, the authors provide evidence that intelligence has pervasive utility in work settings because it is essentially the ability to deal with cognitive complexity, in particular, with complex information processing, and the more complex a work task, the greater the advantages that higher g confers in performing it well.

Developing a fluid intelligence scale through a combination of Rasch modeling and cognitive psychology.

TL;DR: The main result was a criterion-referenced scale that was based on information from item features that were linked to cognitive components, such as storage capacity, goal management, and abstraction that was used to create the descriptions of selected levels of a fluid intelligence scale.

ABCD Neurocognitive Prediction Challenge 2019: Predicting individual fluid intelligence scores from structural MRI using probabilistic segmentation and kernel ridge regression

TL;DR: Several regression and deep learning methods were applied to predict fluid intelligence scores from T1-weighted MRI scans as part of the ABCD Neurocognitive Prediction Challenge (ABCD-NP-Challenge) 2019, with the best predictive performance coming from Kernel Ridge Regression.

Assessment of Health Literacy and validation of single-item literacy screener (SILS) in a sample of Italian people.

TL;DR: The Italian version of SILS - as an indicator of limited reading and understanding ability regarding health information - is a good tool to measure HL in comparison to more complex measurement instruments of functional HL, like NVS.

ERP correlates of the decision time-IQ relationship: The role of complexity in task- and brain-IQ effects

TL;DR: This paper used the Hick paradigm to measure the effects of task complexity on decision time (DT) and event-related potentials (ERPs) and on their relations in turn with IQ, finding that DT consistently increased with greater complexity and was related to IQ across conditions, while most ERP amplitudes and latencies also increased over conditions, and often predicted DT, only the amplitude of the P2 component was associated with IQ.

General Intelligence (g), ACT Scores, and Theory of Mind: (ACT)g Predicts Limited Variance Among Theory of Mind Tests

TL;DR: The authors examined relations between general intelligence (g), non-g factors, and theory of mind (ToM) using structural equation modeling with multiple indicators of g and ToM and found that g predicted a small amount of variance among the ToM tests.

The big five personality dimensions and job performance: a meta-analysis

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the relation of the Big Five personality dimensions (extraversion, emotional stability, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, and Openness to Experience) to three job performance criteria (job proficiency, training proficiency, and personnel data) for five occupational groups (professionals, police, managers, sales, and skilled/semi-skilled).
