For hydrophobic pervaporation of wastewater, sweep gas pervaporation should be combined with a moderate vacuum (of around 0.1 bar) to improve the pervaporation performance; the performance at atmospheric pressure for the conditions selected leads to excessive membrane areas.
The results suggest that a membrane area between 3.7 and 6.5 m2 is necessary to achieve the desired performance with reasonable sweep gas flow rates between 15 and 30 L min−1.
Generally, we find that cost-optimal OARO processes minimize the number of stages, eliminate the use of saline makeup streams, purge from the first sweep cycle, and successively decrease stage membrane area and sweep flow rates.
This paper presents a practical sweep scan path planning method, which can automatically generate an efficient sweep scan path for an arbitrary free-form surface.
That can be used for a qualitative membrane classification.

Thanks to the mobility, sweep coverage can cover more POIs using fewer sensor nodes.
The sweep suture serves as a safeguard for what may otherwise be a difficult adjustment.
Key Message: A volume sweep imaging (VSI) protocol for pneumonia detection can be taught with minimal difficulty to rural health workers without prior ultrasound experience.
Membrane operating regimes and oxygen off-stoichiometric coefficients can thus be determined highlighting the importance of surface exchange studies and the obvious requirement to reduce sweep surface P O 2 through oxyfuel reaction integration and/or flow field adjustments.
When a sweep gas is introduced into separation zones, significant water conversions can also be provided by a countercurrent single membrane reactor, but considerably lower than those obtained in a double-membrane reactor.
