The controlled stabilizer can reduce the supply voltage distortion and adjust the load voltage within very short time.
The proposed control functions are capable of providing accurate performance with fast frequency response for AC grids with the existence of both load variations and DC voltage fluctuations.
Simulation results show the ISEC can provide better damping and voltage regulation performance, compared with the CSEC without parameter adaptation scheme and the conventional power system stabilizer.
Also, small signal stability is more sensitive to the ac voltage controller's gain than to the power controller gains.
Therefore, it is very important to study the influence of transient parameters on the voltage stability of AC-DC system.
