Our experimental results from a number of graphics-intensive applications show that VMGL provides excellent rendering performance, within 14% or better of that obtained with native graphics hardware acceleration.
Experimental results show that by making use of the user experience model, it is possible to set appropriate graphics rendering parameters according to network constraints, such that the user experience can be maintained to a high level.
We also demonstrate that it is possible to use a second graphics card to further improve the acceleration of one machine.
With a properly chosen architecture, a single-chip graphics processor should provide a cost-effective means for achieving high performance in color bit-mapped graphics displays for PCs and workstations.
