The described approach provides a noise-resistant, accurate screening tool for AFib from PPG sensors located in an ambulatory wrist watch.
This method can measure the change in watch accuracy over time.
The difficulties encountered when using a stop-watch for the measurement of basic time are well known and the authors of this paper suggest a new and more efficient method for such measurement without a stop-watch.
The watch system shall be such that the efficiency of watch-keeping officers and watch-keeping ratings is not impaired by fatigue.
Noise control should be looked at proactively during the design stage of the experimental set up because failing to do so can mean retroactive and sometimes costly modifications to experimental setup.
Then, by co-analyzing the motion data from the device and the watch, our method can extend the user authentication on the watch to the device.
