It is shown that a substantial number of couples used birth control for 'spacing' as well as 'stopping' fertility.
Therefore, it was concluded that the acceleration of rat sperm transit time appeared to harm normal sperm maturation, thus decreasing sperm quality and fertility capacity, in an androgen-dependent way.
Our data indicate that the initial damage to the sperm plasma membrane induced at immobilization, although essential for the onset of sperm nuclear swelling after ICSI, does not by itself lead to the release of SAOAF from the spermatozoon.
