Companion or ‘pet’ robots can be expected to be an important part of a future in which robots contribute to our lives in many ways.
The planner shows to be faster than many previous planners and can be applied to robots with many degrees of freedom.
The logs show that although there have been continuous changes in the environment, the robots are robust to most of them, and there exist only a few locations where changes in the environment cause increased uncertainty in localization.
We found that many pet robots are usable, although seal robot Paro meets the requirements best, being superior on sustainability, realistic movements and interactivity.
Especially, we show that the proposed algorithm provides efficient paths of all robots than existing methods and can be available for the roadmap having extremely many robots.
More navigation path types (e. g., least-top-exposed) can be offered for different agents (such as pedestrians, drones or robots).
Readers may be very excited to learn the many new tasks that collaborative robots are addressing, the many tools that have been developed to aid in selecting, designing and gaining worker acceptance and the many unique benefits that are provided, as well as the systems already available.
