However, considering the many advantages of organic agriculture, it can in a long run, be more conducive than now to meet food security.
This course has been well received by students and stakeholders, and serves as a model for capstone courses in the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture.
We argue in this article that a new paradigm has started to emerge as to how to use agriculture for development, pursuing a broadened development agenda.
Indeed, it is clear that a more nuanced understanding of how we currently define ‘agriculture’ is necessary.
We find limited evidence that in a policy environment that is conducive to agriculture, formal education provides positive returns in agriculture.
