The outcomes from extensive experimentations show that the proposed PSO based acoustic noise cancellation method provides high performance in terms of SNR improvements with a satisfactory convergence rate in comparison to that obtained by some of the state-of-the-art methods.
Compared with the existing designs, the proposed work achieves higher noise cancellation performance in terms of 3 dB further and saves 97% power consumption.
It is anticipated that the noise cancellation strategy may find use in many practical industrial and environmental PA sensors, where ambient noise sources plays a crucial role for the absolute sensitivity.
The obtained results indicate efficiency of the method in impulsive noise cancellation and improve the ability to detect a damage.

Simulation results show promising improvement in noise cancellation even under very low and varied SNR and noise source conditions.
Despite using low-level and inaudible probe noise signals, both approaches significantly improve the convergence behavior of the cancellation system compared to the traditional probe noise approach.

By comparison with a conventional FIR filter implementation it is shown that a significant improvement in noise cancellation is obtained.
It is shown that the performance of the new procedure for noise cancellation for multi-sensory signals is improved when compared to previously proposed methods.
