We found that web conferencing was perceived as a very effective delivery format for offering coursework and other professional development experiences to mid-career changers and teachers on limited licenses.
Our research has supported the hypothesis that Web expertise is significantly influenced by how users learned the Web - or their cumulative time spent in collaborative learning environments (learning from and with others) - rather than just how long or how often they have used it.
Web-based professional development has the potential to increase the early childhood workforce’s knowledge of young dual language learners (DLLs).
The problem with this approach is that students will most likely end up using some other different framework or technology if ever they decide to become professional web developers.
The findings provide an insight into how professional learning could be integrated with formal, online learning.
