Firstly, this allows to identify the different roles flexible technologies play in power system operation, and the subsequent impact on power system planning.
Furthermore, this work initiates a new area for complex system research to assess the stability of the power system.
The proposed models can subsequently be employed to provide system critical information for power system monitoring and control.
The results verify the effectiveness of the technologies to realize the potential of existing power system infrastructures so as to relieve the stress caused by the PHEVs load, increase the available penetration of PHEVs and promote the bulk power system reliability which is meaningful for power system planning and risk management.
