So, green buildings need green occupants.
Therefore, a green science application is proposed in this article to meet the total energy, water, and gas demands for a building, which can be produced by the building itself without any outside connections and is also 100% clean.
Based on the existing fertilization practice and the utilization of electricity from the Indian electric grid, substantial green house gas (GHG) emission savings cannot be achieved for producer gas life cycle over coal gas life cycle.
In addition, by reducing green house gas emission, the technology helps in mitigating global warming and climate change.
Agriculture sector is a potential contributor to the total green house gas (GHG) emission with a share of about 24 % (IPCC, AR5 to be released) of the total anthropogenic emission, and a growing global population means that agricultural production will remain high if food demands are to be met.
Of these gases, the contribution of carbon di oxide alone is found to be about 66% of the total magnitude of the Green House Effect.
The system can be used for energy efficient green house gas and industrial effluent treatment.
This seems to be the case in the construction of biogas infrastructures for the production and distribution of green gas.
Also, since it acts as precursor to green house gas, the data would be useful for climate change assessments.

Can methane monooxygenase oxidize methane in the air, not dissolved in water?
5 answers
Particulate methane monooxygenase (pMMO) and soluble methane monooxygenase (sMMO) are enzymes capable of oxidizing methane. pMMO, found in methanotrophic bacteria, can convert methane to methanol in a lipid environment, contributing to methane removal from the environment. On the other hand, sMMO, a member of the bacterial multicomponent monooxygenase superfamily, is essential for methane hydroxylation and involves interactions between hydroxylase (MMOH), regulatory component (MMOB), and reductase (MMOR). While pMMO operates in a lipid environment, sMMO functions with specific protein components, highlighting the different mechanisms by which these enzymes oxidize methane. Therefore, pMMO can oxidize methane in a lipid environment, while sMMO operates through specific protein interactions, indicating that methane oxidation can occur both in the air and in water, depending on the enzyme involved.
