By applying this technique to the CFHTLS survey we have increased the number of known optical high redshift cluster candidates by a large factor, an important step towards using cluster counts to measure cosmological parameters.
Our approach can be used for the integration of data from a wide variety of heterogeneous operational sources and independently of a particular database system used for storing the warehouse data.
We have increased the number of known optical high-redshift cluster candidates by a large factor, an important step towards obtaining reliable cluster counts to measure cosmological parameters.
Our results imply little dynamical evolution in the range of redshift spanned by our cluster sample and suggest that the typical redshift of cluster formation is higher than that of the sample we analyze.
Thus, the platform is easily extensible and robust to updates of both data and metadata in the warehouse datasets.
If such better models are available, the clustering-redshift technique promises to be a highly complementary alternative to other methods of redshift calibration.

What is the dark matter radial profile of milky way?
5 answers
The dark matter radial profile of the Milky Way has been extensively studied using various methods. Recent research has shown that the Milky Way's dark matter density profile can be better described by a cored Einasto profile with a slope parameter of $0.91^{+0.04}_{-0.05}$, rather than a generalized Navarro-Frenk-White (NFW) profile. Additionally, investigations utilizing cosmological simulations have highlighted the importance of the "splashback" radius in delineating the outer boundary of the dark matter halo, with significant scatter observed in the velocity dispersion profiles of dark and luminous tracers within Milky Way-mass halos. Furthermore, a non-parametric method has been developed to directly infer the dark matter contribution to the circular velocity across the Galaxy, allowing for a clean determination of the dark matter profile without theoretical bias.

How non gaussianity of CMB has been used to study rieonization?
5 answers
The non-Gaussianity of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) has been utilized to study reionization through various phenomena. Primordial non-Gaussianity, as observed in Loop Quantum Cosmology (LQC) and axion-string-induced birefringence, offers insights into the early universe. By quantifying non-Gaussian properties using techniques like kurtosis and bispectrum, researchers can discern between different physics sources and break degeneracies, aiding in understanding reionization processes. Additionally, studying non-Gaussian signatures due to nonlinear structure formation at high redshifts provides a means to investigate early phases of structure formation and deviations from the standard model, offering valuable information for reionization studies. These approaches highlight the significance of non-Gaussianity in CMB analysis for exploring reionization mechanisms.
Role of volume in gas law?
5 answers
Volume plays a crucial role in various gas laws and their applications. In the context of star formation laws, volume densities of gas (HI+H2) in galaxies exhibit a tight correlation with the star formation rate (SFR), emphasizing the importance of considering three-dimensional density profiles by accounting for the radial growth of gaseous discs. Additionally, in the study of heat radiation from gas volumes, the laws of radiation from gas volumes have been shown to impact fuel saving and environmental pressure reduction by considering the dimensions, power, and geometrical position of radiative gas volumes, highlighting the significance of volume in heat transfer calculations. Therefore, understanding and incorporating volume measurements are essential in various fields to comprehend and predict the behavior of gases accurately.
