Issues in Satellite Communication4 answersSatellite communication faces several issues. One major concern is the security of satellite systems, especially in the context of satellite communications being broadcasted. Classical cryptography, which has been used for securing communication, has flaws that can be exploited by quantum computers. Another challenge is the deployment of non-geostationary orbit (NGSO) satellites, which offer lower propagation delay and signal losses compared to geostationary orbit (GSO) satellites, but require seamless integration with GSO systems and terrestrial networks. Additionally, the link-layer security of satellite communication systems needs to be updated to address the advancements in attacker capabilities. Lastly, the secrecy outage performance of satellite-aerial communication systems is a concern, with the need to protect information from eavesdropping satellites.

Where to test noise reduction systems?4 answersNoise reduction systems can be tested in various locations depending on the specific application. One option is to test them in mechanoacoustic systems, where the volume of the structure is filled with an optimal spatial configuration of material to reduce noise and vibration. Another option is to test them in in-wall HVAC systems, where a noise reduction system can be constructed as a box structure attached to the exterior wall, overlapping the intake and exhaust air vents. Noise reduction in digitized systems can also be achieved through the use of analog filters and corresponding inverse digital filters. Additionally, noise reduction systems can be tested in the context of infrasound verification, where wind-noise reduction techniques are used to improve the signal-to-noise ratio. Finally, noise reduction can be achieved in ducted air systems by using syntactic composite material within the walled duct to absorb noise generated within the system.
