However GDP growth affects bank’s lending activities so during high economic growth year central bank and private bank’s management should introduce easy loans for businesses and industries and during poor economic growth years personal loan’s new schemes should be introduce by banks.
The results indicate that although productivity has increased for both state and private banks, the sources of this growth are different.
The empirical results indicate that (a) no matter which approach and year are taken into consideration, Bank of Baroda (BoB) and First National Bank (FNB) (which are both foreign banks) and Botswana Savings Bank (BSB) (which is a publicly owned institution) are consistently among the most efficient institutions and Botswana Development Corporation, African Bank Corporation and National Development Bank (NDB) are the least efficient ones; and (b) the most efficient banks are either small or large institutions in terms of their asset sizes.
The results show that relationships are an important criterion in the selection of a private bank.

Results show that bank based financial systems are indeed associated with faster capital growth.
However, as the private-for-profit sector is emerging, these countries could soon be facing serious competition for top university students, and will need to develop a strategy for attracting the best talents to choose employment in the public sector over career options in the private sector.
We show the following results: First, bank concentration exerts a negative effect on growth for industries that are most dependent on external financing.
Finally, we find that bank growth and bank profitability are independent of each other.

In addition, the results suggest that Bank of India and ICICI bank are more efficient as compare to other banks in India and result confirmed that selected Public Sector Banks are more efficient than Private sectors during the study period in India.
The findings reveal that the most important factors influencing customers for selecting a private commercial bank are effective and efficient customer services, speed and quality services; image of the bank, online banking, and well management.
However, significant differences were found in terms of profitability and soundness of business, indicating robust growth prospects for private sector banks.
