TL;DR: The results of an experimental investigation of the interaction of finite-amplitude saw-tooth sound waves (with a sound pressure level of 170 dB) with an axisymmetric supersonic air jet are presented as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: The results of an experimental investigation of the interaction of finite-amplitude saw-tooth sound waves (with a sound pressure level of 170 dB) with an axisymmetric supersonic air jet are presented. It is shown that the passage of sound waves through the jet is accompanied by sound refraction on averaged-flow nonuniformities, interaction between the sound and shock waves, and diffraction.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method for measuring properties of a surface of a body by propagating surface acoustic waves on a substrate and propagating bulk acoustic waves into a medium.
Abstract: The method involves propagating surface acoustic waves (OW) on a substrate (1) and propagating bulk acoustic waves (VW) into a medium (M) i.e. oil. The surface acoustic waves are stimulated on the substrate by converting a portion of energy of the bulk acoustic waves into acoustic energy of the substrate. The surface acoustic waves are received by receivers (E1, E2). Characteristics of a body (K) i.e. vascular wall, to be measured are determined from a signal generated during receiving the surface acoustic waves, where the characteristics represent property of a surface of the body. An independent claim is also included for a device for measuring property of a surface of a body.

TL;DR: In this paper, a dynamic acoustic impedance matching device for an acoustic signal transmitted or received in a medium by a transducer includes a particle flow in the acoustic signal path of the transducers.
Abstract: A dynamic acoustic impedance matching device for an acoustic signal transmitted or received in a medium by a transducer includes a particle flow in an acoustic signal path of the transducer. The particle flow has an acoustic impedance between an acoustic impedance of the transducer and an acoustic impedance of the medium.

TL;DR: In this article, the mutual conversion between ultrasonic and electromagnetic waves via the interaction with pinned vortex has been studied as a function of the inclination angle of a dc field to the superconducting plane of a single crystal Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8.
Abstract: The mutual conversion between ultrasonic and electromagnetic waves via the interaction with pinned vortex has been studied as a function of the inclination angle of a dc field to the superconducting plane of a single crystal Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8. A distinctive twin-peak structure was observed in the conversion intensity when the dc field was applied nearly parallel to the superconducting plane. The result is interpreted in terms of the crossover from the Josephson vortex to the pancake vortex.
