TL;DR: In this paper, a method for preparing ethyl acetate by using alumina supported phosphotungstic acid as a catalyst is presented. But the method is not suitable for the use of polyethylene.
Abstract: The invention discloses a method for preparing ethyl acetate by using alumina supported phosphotungstic acid as a catalyst, which is characterized by comprising the following steps of: dissolving phosphotungstic acid in distilled water to prepare solution of which the concentration is between 0.031 and 0.062 mol/L at room temperature, immersing an activated alumina support into the solution for 1 hour, calcining the immersed alumina support at the temperature of between 120 and 200 DEG C for 2 to 6 hours, and stirring the calcined alumina support once at intervals of between 20 and 30 minutes in the process of calcination, wherein the phosphotungstic acid content of the prepared catalyst is between 5 and 10 percent; and catalyzing acetic acid and ethanol to prepare ethyl acetate by adopting the prepared catalyst and the technology of reactive rectification under the reaction condition that the feed molar ratio of the acetic acid to the ethanol is 1:1, the reaction temperature is 150 DEG C, the reflux ratio is between 1 and 2, and the rate of feed is between 20 and 60 mL/hour. The method simplifies the flow process, reduces equipment cost and operating cost, and increases the process conversion rate and the yield of products.

TL;DR: In this article, a slurry contg. activated alumina contg, selenium oxide and barium nitrate, and/or barium formate is prepared for cleaning exhaust gas by sticking the slurry on the carrier having the integrated structure and thereafter calcining it.
Abstract: PURPOSE: To increase high temp. durability of a catalyst by preparing a slurry by adding activated alumina contg. the platinum group element, selenium oxide and barium nitrate, etc., sticking the slurry on a carrier having an integrated structure and thereafter calcining it. CONSTITUTION: The slurry contg. activated alumina contg. platinum group element, selenium oxide and barium nitrate, and/or barium formate is prepared. The catalyst for cleaning exhaust gas is produced by sticking the slurry on the carrier having the integrated structure and thereafter calcining it. Said carrier consists of refractory metal oxide or durable metal and its monolithic or three-dimensional network structure is preferable as the form of the carrier. Selenium oxide content is preferably 10W200g/1l catalyst obtd. COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed to improve the performance of titled catalyst at the initial stage and after it was used for a long time by depositing oxides of metals among rare earth elements, Zr, Ti on granular carriers consisting of an inorg. oxide consisting essentially of activated alumina.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the performance of titled catalyst at the imtial stage and after it is used for a long time by depositing oxides of metals among rare earth elements, Zr, Ti on granular carriers consisting of an inorg. oxide consisting essentially of activated alumina then depositing platinum thereon. CONSTITUTION:0.1-10wt% metallic oxides expresed in terms of metals of >=1 kind metals among the following metals are deposited as additive on granular carriers consisting of an inorg. oxide consisting essentially of activated alumina. The metals are selected from the group consisting of La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Y among rare earth metals and Zr, Ti among titanium group metals. This catalyst for reforming of methanol is produced by depositing 0.1-1.0wt% in terms of metal on the granular carriers contg. the above-mentioned additives. This catalyst exhibits the excellent performance at the initial stage and after it has been used for a long time for reforming methanol to gaseous H2 and CO.

TL;DR: In this article, an oxidation catalyst for purifying diesel engine waste gas and a preparation method of the oxidation catalyst, in the technical field of automobile tail gas treatment, was described, where the catalyst comprises cordierite honeycomb ceramic or metal serving as a carrier and an active coating containing activated alumina, composite oxide, a molecular sieve and precious metal.
Abstract: The invention relates to an oxidation catalyst for purifying diesel engine waste gas and a preparation method of the oxidation catalyst, in the technical field of automobile tail gas treatment. The catalyst comprises cordierite honeycomb ceramic or metal serving as a carrier and an active coating containing activated alumina, composite oxide, a molecular sieve and precious metal. The preparation method comprises the steps of mixing, stirring and ballmilling pseudo-boehmite, alumina and composite oxide in deionized water, adding the molecular sieve and a precious metal solution to prepare a coating feed solution, coating the coating feed solution on the carrier, and obtaining the oxidation catalyst through drying and roasting. The diesel oil oxidation catalyst has a better purifying effect on CO (Carbonic Oxide), HC (Hydrocarbon Compounds) and SOF (Soluble Organic Fractions), and as composite oxide containing Mn is added, the oxidation temperature of NO (Nitric Oxide) is reduced, and the catalyst has a better low-temperature oxidation property.
