Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ionic liquid which has a constant quality, and can be used, for example, as a solvent for enzymatic reactions, and to provide a method for producing the same SOLUTION: This ionic liquid having a halide ion concentration of ≤70 ppm is obtained by (1) removing the halide ion impurity in the ionic liquid with activated alumina, (2) further removing the halide ion impurity in the ionic liquid with neutral activated alumina among the activated alumina, and (3) effectively removing the halide ion impurity in the ionic liquid with column chromatography using a column filled with neutral activated alumina COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a stable anti-bacterial composition having strong anti-bacterial activity with a small requirement of bactericidal metal by forming a film of aluminosilicate containing metallic ion having bactericidal action on the surface of alumiua. CONSTITUTION:Porous activated alumina having 0.4-1.2cm /g pore volume, >=20Angstrom , especially >=50Angstrom pore diameter and >=80m /g, especially >=100 m /g is treated with an alkali solution and a silica-containing solution to form a coating film of aluminosilicate containing metal capable of ion exchange (preferably having 1.3-30 molar ratio of SiO2/Al2O3) on activated surface of pores or macroscopic holes and metallic ion having bactericidal action is carried in the film of aluminosilicate by ion exchange. As the metallic ion having bactericidal action, metallic ion selected from Ag, Cu, Zn, Hg, Sn, Pb, Bi, Cd and Cr is used and made to exist in an amount of >=0.002mmol, preferably >=0.005mmol per 100cm surface area of the composition.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a filter which has good capturing efficiency and is free from clogging in a honeycomb-like filter carrier having cells which are held closed at one end by forming activated alumina surfaces on the wall surfaces of the cells then depositing catalytic components thereon. CONSTITUTION:A honeycomb body consisting of a porous inorg. sintered body is used for a filter 1 for removing fine particles such as carbon contained in waste gases. The cells 1a constituting this are closed at either one end so that the open ends and the closed ends are placed adjacent to each other. Activated alumina layers are formed on the wall surfaces of such cells 1a to deposite catalyst component on this alumina layers. Then, the fine particles in the waste gases can be captured by the microholes of the cells and walls and since they are burned by the catalysts, the filter of good capturing rate and purification rate is obtained.

Abstract: The invention discloses an integral type catalyst with heat storage function as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The integral type catalyst is loaded with an activated alumina and catalyst active ingredients on the surface of a heat storage layer, and has an integral porous cellular structure; the heat storage layer consists of at least one of SiC and corundum, dichroite and mullite; the catalyst active ingredients mainly comprise CuO, CoO, Ni2O3 and MnO2, and can be added with Pt, Pd or mixture of the both; and the activated alumina accounts for 2 to 20 percent of the mass of the integral type catalyst. The preparation method comprises the following steps: firstly, preparing the activated alumina and the catalyst active ingredients into coating slurry; and then soaking the heat storage layer into the coating slurry to prepare the integral type catalyst with the heat storage function. The catalyst has the thermal efficiency reaching 96 percent, and can realize high-efficiency purification on industrial organic waste gases after integrating with a reverse flow reactor for catalytic combustion of contaminants under non-steady operation conditions.

Abstract: The invention discloses a preparation method of a high-performance activated alumina ball The preparation method comprises the following steps: uniformly mixing 70 to 95 parts by weight of rho-alumina and 5 to 30 parts by weight of pseudo boehmite, and then putting a mixture in a balling pan for balling; spraying a bonding agent in a balling process, wherein the bonding agent is a desalting aqueous solution of organic acid/inorganic acid The rho-alumina is used as a main production raw material, and the use amount of the rho-alumina is 75 percent or above, so that the mechanical strength of the activated alumina ball is guaranteed, and the cost of the product is reduced; the high-quality pseudo boehmite is added in the rho-alumina, so that the specific surface area and the pore volume of the activated alumina ball are effectively improved; the inorganic acid and the organic acid are added in the bonding agent, so that the surface of the pseudo boehmite and an acid solution react to generate alumina sol with the viscosity, the bonding of the pseudo boehmite and the rho-alumina is guaranteed, and the wear of an activated alumina ball product is reduced
